Bungoma government sets up sports tournaments in Kimilili

Youths in Kimilili Constituency have turned to football, volleyball tournaments that were supposed sponsored by the Bungoma County government. Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati and Chief Officer Caroline Masete said the aim of starting the tournaments is to improve and nurture talents among the youths.  

Chief Officer Caroline Masete said the winners of the games will be awarded starting from the ward level to the County level. She said people living with disabilities have also been designated categories. On his part, Health CO Patrick Wandili said he hopes the Kimilili team emerges winners since he comes from there, noting that nurturing talents is prioritized so that youths can achieve their dreams, citing examples of success stories like McDonald Mariga, Eliud Kipchoge and Victor Wanyama.
