The Kenya Secondary Schools Heads Association (KESSHA) in Bungoma County has confirmed Edward Bikala, the principal of Sirende Secondary School in Webuye West Sub County as the new Chairman of the association. Speaking in Bungoma High School after being endorsed unanimously for the seat. Bikala said he aims to foster unity among the principals to improve the academic standards in the County.
He thanked the principals for having bestowed the leadership responsibility upon him saying he will work to the best of his ability to ensure the County prospers. Mr Bikala disclosed that they are looking forward to holding their annual conference in Kisumu where they have invited several speakers together with political leaders whom he says will help discuss how they will take the County forward in matters dealing with education.
He assured the principals of focused and dedicated leadership saying having chosen them they had faith that they will deliver in their duties. Others who were elected include Josiah Alusa of Kamusinde boys as vice chairman, Hábil Malika of Mbakalo friends as deputy organising secretary, Peter Makhanu of Chebosi as a trustee among others.
