Bungoma Members of County Assembly on Tuesday evening underwent voluntary Covid-19 testing at the Bungoma County referral hospital. The move comes as the County’s Coronavirus cases increase, with 118 cases confirmed in Bungoma on Saturday alone.

The MCAs who took the test include the County assembly speaker Emmanuel Situma, the Majority leader and Tuuti/Marakaru MCA Joseph Nyongesa, the Minority leader and Kaptama MCA Hillary Chemion, the Chief whip and Mukuyuni MCA Meshack Wekesa, the Deputy speaker and Soysambu MCA Stephen Wamalwa, Ndivisi MCA Martin Pepela Wanyonyi. The Bungoma County assembly went on recess today and will resume sittings on 27th October.
