Kabuchai Member of Parliament Majimbo Kalasinga has blamed the handshake between President Uhuru Kenyatta and the Azimio la Umoja Presidential candidate Raila Odinga for the rise in the cost of living across the country.
Speaking during the Kenya Kwanza rally at Naitiri market in Tongaren Constituency, the Kabuchai legislator blamed the handshake between the Head of State Uhuru Kenyatta and the Orange Democratic Movement party Raila Odinga for the rise in the cost of living across the nation, asking Kenyans to vote in the Deputy President Dr. William Ruto as the President in the August 9th General Elections so he can revive Kenya’s economy.
His sentiments were supported by Kimilili Member of Parliament Didmus Barasa who was saddened by the ongoing increase in price of the basic commodities across the nation, among them maize, sugar, cooking oil and maize flour.
The Kimilili legislator joined the Kenya Kwanza leaders who asked locals in Tongaren to vote in the Deputy President in order to create more job opportunities for the youths and reduce the cost of living across the nation.
Kenya Kwanza team was led by the Deputy President Dr. William Ruto, Bungoma Senator Moses Wetangula, Amani National Congress party leader Musalia Mudavadi, Bungoma County Woman Representative Catherine Wambilianga, the Senate Speaker Kenneth Lusaka among other candidates affiliated to the coalition.
