Bungoma ODM Members of County Assembly on Saturday boycotted the party meeting convened by the County chair John Koyi Waluke.
The ODM law makers led by the leader of Minority Ali Machani Mutoka accused Waluke for championing the interest of Jubilee yet he is supposed to articulate issues concerning the Orange Democratic Party terming him a traitor .
Mutoka who is also the MCA of Maraka Ward, blamed Waluke for failing to address party matters saying he is advocating Jubilee agenda which is against the party rule.
“We cannot have a leader who preaches water and takes wine instead, we need a vocal leader who will stand firm with the ODM Party and not be swayed by the winds”, said agitated Mutoka who called for Waluke to step down and pave way for a leader who will rekindle the party ahead of the coming polls .
The minority leader questioned Waluke’s competence to lead the Party noting that he has been working with the state and its high time he is relieved of his duties as the ODM County Chair.
He blamed the chair for rising party issues saying he cannot handle that post and must quit and allow democratic leaders to chair the party.
Mutoka noted he is not amused with the way Waluke is handling ODM Party issues in Bungoma without consulting the members .
Mihu Member of County Assembly John Nanyakha rubbished of Waluke’s call for meeting terming him a not straight forward leader, asking him to choose between ODM and Jubilee.
“We are not going to condone such double minded leaders in our Party, it must be one so he can decide”, said Nanyakha.
He blamed slowness in party to the County Chair John Waluke calling upon him so step a side saying he has failed in his mandate as the party head in the County .
Recently the ODM member gave Waluke who is also the Sirisia legislator a one week ultimatum to step down accusing him of working with the state
