Residents of Bungoma town thronged the streets to celebrate the decision by the Supreme Court to uphold the election of William Ruto as the President elect of the Republic of Kenya saying they are elated.
Led by Musa Muhhammed, the residents applauded the court’s decision saying it was very clear that the President elect was unanimously voted in by the majority of Kenyans saying life must move on.
They pointed out the efforts of Bungoma Senator Moses Masika Wetangula as having propelled the Kenya Kwanza side to victory saying he was able to convince the residents to vote for William Ruto saying they are now waiting for the promises to be fulfilled.
However, they called upon the President elect to ensure all the residents benefit despite how they voted in the election saying he is now in charge of the country and it needs to move forward.
On the other hand, they called upon Azimio leader Raila Odinga to consider retiring from politics saying he has had enough and it is high time he accepts the will of the people and retires from active politics.
