The Economic advisor to Bungoma County Governor Wycliffe Wangamati, Martin Wafula, has urged Bungoma residents, specifically Webuye West and East residents to respect leaders and pave the way for development. He was addressing mourners at the funeral of Mzee Solomon Sitati Lusaka (Omukinyikeu) of Makhele Village, Matulo Ward of Webuye West Sub-County.
He eulogized Mzee Lusaka as an advisor, disciplinarian, a true Christian, and dedicated farmer whose advise will be missed and implored on leaders and the larger Bungoma community to emulate the late’s character for the sake of development of the community.
He urged residents to continue supporting Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati in his ambition to take the County to the next level in terms of development, noting the ongoing construction of a milk processing plant in Webuye that aims to create job opportunities for the youths directly and indirectly. He also said the proposed Webuye municipality move, bringing together Webuye East and West wards move is good, noting it will change the face and infrastructure of Webuye. He said jobs will also be created through the newly formed Municipality board
