Bungoma County Senator Wafula Wakoli has urged the youth to take advantage of the Christmas season to engage in sports and unlock their hidden talents.
Senator Wakoli has revealed that he has organized a series of sporting events scheduled for this Saturday 21st Dec, designed to showcase the diverse talent within the county. The initiative, according to him, will foster skill development and promote community spirit among the youth.
He expressed his pride in having recently represented the Parliament during sporting events in Mombasa, highlighting the immense potential that Bungoma’s youth possess.
“Sports are an incredible avenue for growth and talent discovery. We want to provide our young people with the platform they need to excel,” he remarked.
The Senator further called on local leaders to invest in sports infrastructure and support the implementation of the Competency-Based Curriculum (CBC). He emphasized that this new education system can equip the youth with practical skills, increasing their chances of employment in various sectors.
The community is encouraged to attend and cheer on the participants. This initiative is a significant step toward empowering the youth, promoting health, and fostering talent development in Bungoma County.
