Business people are now worried that their businesses might collapse due to continued high cost of living and increase of the prices of basic commodities in the country.
Business people at Posta ground in Bungoma town speaking gave out their views concerning how they are struggling to balance life and business.
Most of them termed the current economy as an economic genocide where most of the leaders who were elected five years ago have failed to control inflation. They claim that every retail shop is selling commodities according to how they feel.
Due to the suffering they are going through they have encouraged their fellow business people to be keen in electing leaders in the coming General Election slated on August 9.
Lilian Wamalwa a small restaurant owner, said she is about to close up her hotel due to continued loses that she encounters each day.
“The government should consider us small business people, we are really suffering, the prices of like cooking oil and flour has made us to reduce the quantity of food where customers are complaining a lot,” lamented Ms Wamalwa
