Kanduyi MP Wafula Wamunyinyi and Bungoma Governor Wycliffe Wangamati have called upon the security apparatus in Bungoma County to act swiftly and arrest those who murdered Peter Oteng popularly known as Storm who until then worked as a communication officer in the MP’s office.
Addressing the press after a meeting with Bungoma County Commissioner over the same, Hon Wamunyinyi said on the fateful day they had been together on official duty in Sang’alo East and later Bungoma town where they parted only to be told later he had been killed.
He said he had been much instrumental in managing communications for the constituency office as well as the Ford Kenya faction that he leads saying the police should be able to unravel the mystery that surrounds the fateful death.
Governor Wangamati regretted the death saying the late storm was a hardworking young man who had a bright future and hoped that the death was not linked to the politics in the County.
Bungoma County commissioner Samwel Kimiti assured them that the department in charge will leave no stone unturned in their investigations to ensure the family of the late gets justice.
The late was hacked to death by unknown assailants at Sunrise estate few meters from his house after he was dropped by a bodaboda operator on Friday night.
