Speaking during the launch Mrs. Sang said the machine will go a long way in operationalizing the clinic and that it is a reprieve for cancer patients across the County as they will no longer travel outside to seek for treatment.
“We are very grateful as Nandi residents to have such a facility in our County and will be of use to many of us.” She added.
She asked the residents to embrace screening by turning up in large numbers to know their cancer status for early detection of the disease as cancer is treatable at an early stage.
On the other hand, the County First Ladies Association chair Mrs. Maria Mbeneka said the association was formed to help the governors take services closer to the public that is why they are in Nandi to take health care services to Wananchi.
Mbeneka cited that the cancer clinic facility at the Kapsabet County Referral Hospital will help cancer patients access the cancer treatment without travelling out of the County therefore urged the locals to utilize the facility well.
