As the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examinations entered day three on Wednesday, a student at Mugunga secondary school in Lugari sub county was forced to sit his examination in hospital.
Confirming the case, Lugari Deputy County Commissioner William Lenaremo said the candidate collapsed and became unconscious immediately after being given the chemistry paper.
He said the candidate was rushed to Mautuma sub county hospital where he was quickly put under medication and gained consciousness after several hours. Later arrangements were made and the candidate successfully did the examination at the health facility.
By the time of going to the press, the candidate was still admitted at the hospital with medics still monitoring his situation to see if he can be discharged or he will still do the remaining papers at the facility.
