Police officers on Saturday raided two Catholic churches in Bungoma, Christ the King Catholic Church and St. Paul’s Catholic Church in Kanduyi after they flouted social gathering directives. Priests, and congregants from were taken in. The church leaderships were still holding mass even after the threat and turmoil caused by the spread of the Coronavirus.
The government has insisted that Kenyans must observe social distancing. Public gatherings including weddings have been banned as a result.
