Residents of Chemase location in Tinderet constituency, Nandi County are living in fear following an invasion by a hyena, which has caused sleepless nights. Speaking to West FM at Teresia village in Chemase/Chemelil ward, the area residents led by their spokesperson Mr. Bashir said the hyena was seen roaming around the villages during the day.
They complained that some of the residents are counting losses after the animal attacked and killed some of their livestock, adding that so far ten sheep and goats have been killed. They have urged the Kenya Wildlife Service to chip in and deal with the hyena, or else they’ll take action themselves and kill it.
