Chesumei MP Wilson Kogo has criticized the decision by President Uhuru Kenyatta to oust Elgeyo Marakwet Senator Kipchumba Murkomen and Nakuru Senator Susan Kihika from the Senate Majority Leader seat and the Senate Majority Whip respectively.
He said the decision was illegal and that the right legal process wasn’t followed. He has urged President Kenyatta to be a democratic leader and not allow politics to undermine his reputation and that of other leaders. He said the Jubilee party’s NEC should’ve been involved and the meeting shouldn’t have been convened at State House.
He revealed that Nandi leaders aren’t happy with the changes. West Pokot senator Samuel Poghisio replaced Murkomen as the Senate Majority leader while Muranga senator Irungu Kang’ata replaced Kihika as the Majority whip.
