Chiefs and their Assistants in Sabatia Constituency in Vihiga County will soon get new offices for better service delivery. Speaking during the installation of Mr. Hesbon Munavo as the new Chavakali ward Chief, the area Member of Parliament Alfred Agoi said chiefs are finding it hard executing their mandate because of poor working conditions.
He added that many of them serve the locals in their houses which is a big challenge to them. The legislator promised to construct new offices for the local administration through the Constituency Development Fund kitty. “We have not received CDF funds, but once the funds reach us, we are going to set aside some funds for the construction of the offices,” Agoi said.
On his part, the area Deputy County Commissioner Isaiah Tanui has condemned incidents of thugs breaking into various Primary Schools and getting away with the recently distributed learning tablets.
“We have wrong elements amongst us who are breaking into a few schools and stealing the free distributed learning tablets, anyone who will be caught will be prosecuted”, He reiterated.
