Contractors that have stalled CDF projects in Lurambi sub county have been given an ultimatum of three months to complete the projects or risk losing the tenders.
The warning was issued by Lurambi MP Bishop Titus Khamala who claims that there are projects that have been on for over than 3 years now yet others were completed in a span of six months. The MP said that such contractors will be black listed and may henceforth not benefit from tenders from the CDF.
Bishop kahamala has also challenged the project management committee in his constituency to be pro active and ensure that such projects get completed in time. He added that it is the mandate of the committee to ensure that quality work is done and in time to save the constituents both time and money.
He further urged the committee to use their constitutional powers to come up with tender committees in the constituency that will procure services according to the procurement act and work on them without wasting time from those that are out to beg for kick backs.
