Coronavirus cases in Kenya have surpassed the 10,000 mark, after 379 people tested positive, bringing the total number of cases to 10,105. This is after 7,050 samples were tested with the cumulative samples tested now at 215,037. Of the new cases, 376 are Kenyans while 3 are foreigners. 253 are males while 126 are females.
Nairobi leads in the number of cases with 208, followed by Kiambu at 49. Busia County has 38 cases-Teso North 18, Matayos 15, Teso South 5. Migori County has 19 cases, Mombasa County 16 cases, Kajiado County 12 cases, Uasin Gishu has 8 cases. Lamu County has 6 cases, Machakos County has 5 cases, Nakuru County has 5 cases.
Narok, Wajir and Kisumu Counties have 2 cases each, Garissa, Isiolo, Kericho, Nyamira, Nyeri and Trans Nzoia Counties have 1 case each. The new case in Trans Nzoia County is in Kiminini. Further, 49 patients have been discharged from different health facilities with recoveries rising to 2881. However, 1 more person has succumbed to the virus bringing the total deaths to 185.
