Nandi County Assembly ward representatives have reminded Nandi residents to take Covid-19 precaution measures seriously for their own safety.
Speaking with journalists in Kapsabet, the ward representatives led by Terik ward legislator Hon Osborn Komen cited that Covid-19 is real and dangerous to human lives thus reminded the public to take exra stringent measures in combating the disease which has posed major threats to life.
They urged them to continue observing social distance, regular hand washing/sanitizing, wearing of masks and avoiding overcrowded places for their health safety.
“We are in the period of third wave of Covid-19 which is more risky thus the public should be extra vigilant to avoid contracting the disease,” they affirmed.
They revealed that there are positive cases of the disease in Nandi and everybody should take responsibility of themselves by avoiding contact with their close friends and shaking of hands respectively.
They urged Kenyans to learn from India where the disease has hit very hard due to flouting of the Covid-19 rules therefore ministry of health’s protocol should strictly be followed
