Nandi County government through the department of education and vocational training has scaled up employment terms for Early Childhood Development and Education (ECDE) teachers to permanent and pensionable terms which saw over one thousand teachers confirmed.
Speaking during the exercise which unveiled the list of over one thousand four hundred ECDE teachers, Nandi governor Stephen Sang revealed that the group will enjoy their salaries and increments together with their job security therefore asked them to deliver fully in order to uplift the standards the ECDE in the region.
“My administration is working on improving terms to employees in various departments, we have begun with the education department as others follow,” Sang said.
The governor assured the employees that their terms of employment will be renewed for those whose their contracts are almost coming to an end there is no need to worry and panic.
“I have engaged the county public service board on the renewal of contracts and no one should panic at all.” Sang added.
