The County government of Nandi through the health docket has received a donation of medical equipment from 3 multi national tea companies. Speaking after receiving the donation, Nandi Health CEC Ruth Koech said the equipment will be key in the fight against the Coronavirus pandemic.
She said as a government they are very grateful for the donations which included hospital beds, N95 face masks and Personal Protective Equipment (PPEs) which will aid the health workers as they discharge their duties. “As a County government we shall ensure that the safety of our health workers is prioritized through provision of protective equipment to help them continue the fight against the Covid-19 pandemic,” Koech added. She said they’ve evidently seen the role played by companies to help the health docket as part of their corporate social responsibility.
