Kenya’s Covid-19 cases have risen to 92,055 after 163 people tested positive for the virus, from a sample size of 2,283 tested in the last 24 hours. The cumulative tests have now risen to 973,805. In a statement on Monday, the Ministry of Health said 424 patients have recovered from the disease, 378 from the Home-Based Care Program, while 46 have been discharged from various hospitals, with total recoveries now at 73,452. However, 6 patients have succumbed to the disease bringing the cumulative fatalities to 1,593.
960 patients have been admitted in various health facilities countrywide and 6,581 are on Home Based Isolation and Care. 49 patients are in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU), 27 of whom are on ventilatory support, and 20 on supplemental oxygen, while 2 are on observation. 46 patients are separately on supplementary oxygen out of whom 37 are in the general wards, and 9 are in the High Dependency Unit (HDU).
