Covid-19 cases in Kenya have reached 35,969 after the Ministry of Health confirmed 176 new cases on Saturday. The cases were picked from 4,115 tested samples, taking the cumulative tests to 494,560.
From the new cases, the youngest patient is a 3-months old child, while the oldest is 78 years old. 132 are males while 44 are females, and all are Kenyans except 5 foreigners.
In a statement from Health CS Mutahi Kagwe, 329 people recovered, 43 from home based care while 286 were discharged from hospitals. 3 more deaths were recorded.
In terms of distribution in Counties, Nairobi has 32 new cases, Nakuru 29, Mombasa 22, Kajiado 14, Kisii 9, Kiambu 7, Garissa 6, Nyeri 6, Migori 6, Kisumu 6, Vihiga 6, Uasin Gishu 5, Kwale 5, and Meru 5. Narok has 3 cases, Kericho 2, Nyandarua 2, Busia 2, Kitui 2, Murang’a 1, Homabay 1, Kilifi 1, Laikipia 1, Embu 1, Machakos 1 and Baringo 1.
