The Ministry of Health has confirmed 388 new cases of Covid-19, as the total number of cases in Kenya rise to 41,546. 4,287 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, with cumulative tests rising to 591,198.
In a statement on Sunday, the Health Ministry said 383 of the new cases are Kenyans and the remaining 5 are foreigners, with the youngest being a 4-year-old child and the oldest 85-years old.
6 patients have succumbed to the virus within the last day, taking Kenya’s fatalities to 766. However, 63 patients have recovered, 40 from different health facilities and 23 from the home based care program. The recoveries are now at 31,000.
The cases in the Counties are distributed as follows; Nakuru 86, Nairobi 84, Mombasa 51, Trans Nzoia 49, Kiambu 29, Kisumu 17, Kericho 11, Meru 10, Busia 10, Bungoma 8, Machakos 7, Garissa 5, Kajiado 3, Tharaka Nithi, 3, Nyeri, Siaya, Makueni, Nandi, Kwale and Nyandarua 2 each.
