The Ministry of Health has confirmed 96 new cases of Covid-19 from 3,270 samples tested in the last 24 hours. Kenya’s total positive cases have risen to 36,301. Speaking on Tuesday, Health CAS Dr. Mercy Mwangangi confirmed the youngest case is a 5-year-old child and the oldest is 81-years-old.
The fatalities rose to 634 after another 10 patients succumbed to the virus. Another 121 patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country so far to 23,364, with 97 from the home based care program and 24 from hospitals.
Among the Counties, Nairobi leads in new cases, recording 26 cases in the last 24 hours.
Kisii (10), Busia (8), Mombasa (7), Uasin Gishu (7), Kisumu (7), Machakos (6), Kericho (5), Kilifi (4), Samburu, Nakuru, Kajiado and Kiambu two cases each while Bomet, Embu and Kakamega have one case each.
