Covid-19: Caseload rises to 39,427 as fatalities reach 731

The Ministry of Health on Sunday confirmed 243 new Covid-19 cases, from a sample size of 4,385 tested in the last 24 hours. The total cases in Kenya are now at 39,427. 237 of these cases are Kenyans while 6 are foreigners, with 179 being males and 64 females.

In a statement, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said 3 more patients have succumbed to the virus, with fatalities rising to 731. 233 patients have recovered, 219 from the home based care program and 14 from hospitals, raising the country’s recovery total to 26,659.

In the Counties, cases are distributed as follows; Nairobi 70, Nakuru 44, Trans Nzoia 30, Kisumu 15, Mombasa15, Narok 13, Kiambu 11, Kericho 10, Kakamega 7, Machakos 6, Isiolo 4, Kajiado 3, Meru 3, Bungoma 3, Nandi 3, Uasin Gishu 2, Bomet 1, Kirinyaga 1, Laikipia 1, and Kilifi 1.
