Kenya has recorded 21 more Covid-19 cases, with total cases now at 758. 1,486 samples were tested in the last 24 hours, with total samples tested so far at 36,918. 3 patients recovered in the past 24 hours, with total recoveries now at 284, and number of Covid-19 fatalities has increased to 42 after 2 patients died in Nairobi.
The new cases are spread out, with 12 in Mombasa-Likoni 5, Mvita 4, Jomvu 2 and Nyali 1.Kajiado has 4 cases, truck drivers at Namanga. Nairobi has 4 cases-Eastleigh 2, Kibra 2, and Uasin Gishu has 1 case from Turbo.
Health CAS Dr Mercy Mwangangi has said focus has shifted to border points, affirming the government’s stance on an increase in cases at border points, especially Namanga in Kajiado County. 8 Tanzanians tested positive for the Covid-19 and were denied entry into Kenya but were referred to Tanzanian authorities instead, 7 at Namanga and 1 at Isebania within the last 24 hours of testing.
