Coronavirus cases in Kenya have reached 3,094 after 105 people tested positive in 24 hours out of 2,273 samples. 175 people have recovered, representing the highest number of recoveries in a day, as total recoveries pass the 1,000 mark, now at 1,048. Speaking to the press at Afya house, Health CAS Rashid Aman said 1 more patient has died, as fatalities reach 89.
Nairobi County leads in new cases with 43-Ruaka 14, Lang’ata 5, Dagoretti North and Kamukunji 4 each, Embakasi West, Embakasi East and Kibra 3 cases each, Starehe and Westlands 2 cases each, Makadara, Mathare and Embakasi South 1 case each. Busia County has 18 cases, all truck drivers at Malaba point of entry.
Mombasa has 11 cases-5 in Kisauni, 4 in Likoni and 2 in Mvita. Turkana County has 7 cases, all truck drivers at Nadapal point of entry. Migori County has 6 cases, 4 at Kuria West, Nyatike and Suna East 1 case each. Kiambu has 5 cases, 2 in Ruiru, while Kiambu town, Juja and Lari have a case each. Siaya has 1 case at Rarieda, Garissa one case at Daadab and Kajiado County one case from Kajiado East.
