Kenya has recorded 245 new Covid-19 cases, bringing the total cases to 30,365. Health CAS Rashid Aman, while giving the daily Covid-19 update, said 237 are Kenyans while 8 are foreigners, the youngest is 1 month old and the oldest is 79 years old.
504 recoveries have been recorded in the last 24 hours, with total recoveries now at 17,160. 8 patients have succumbed to the virus, 5 had underlying conditions. The total deaths now stand at 482. The Health ministry noted that 98% of the virus cases are community transmissions, equating to over 29,000 cases, “We need to be careful in adherence to the measures.”
Health CAS Aman reiterated that hygiene is key in tackling the spread of the virus. He said that many Kenyans have adhered to the requirement of washing hands, “But there those who have not and should embrace it immediately in order to curtail the spread of the virus and other infectious diseases,” he said.
