Kenya has recorded 4 more Covid-19 cases cases, bringing the total number of cases to 126. Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said of the 4 new cases, 3 are Kenyans and 1 is Pakistani. 1866 people are still in mandatory quarantine. However, the Health CS said quarantine period will be extended or a further 14 days in facilities where protocols were breached. He noted that positive cases of people in the quarantine facilities are highest currently, saying it poses a risk of further transmission to hose in the facilities.
Kenyans have also been urged to keep the government’s directives to stop the spread of the Covid-19, including washing hands regularly with water and soap and social distancing. He also directed that Kenyans should put on face masks whenever they go to supermarkets and public markets, adding that KEMRI is doing research to ensure Kenya produce sits own testing kits.
The number of those who’ve died from the Coronavirus in Kenya stands at 4, with 4 recoveries. Youths have been urged to be on the forefront to tackle the Coronavirus pandemic, with the CS saying they are safer than the older people and has been witnessed in other nations, they unknowingly are carriers who transmit the disease to older people.
