Kenya has recorded the highest number of Coronavirus cases in a day, after 57 people tested positive out of 2,198 tested samples, with the total number of cases up to 887. The new cases are spread out in Mombasa with 35, Nairobi 17, Kitui 1, Kajiado 3, Kwale 1. In a statement, government spokesperson Cyrus Oguna noted that 12 Tanzanian drivers had tested positive at the border points and had been referred back to Tanzania, 11 at Lunga Lunga and 1 at the Taveta border.
12 people have also been discharged in the past 24 hours, with the total recoveries at 313. In Mombasa, the cases are in Mvita 22, Likoni 4, Changamwe 3, Nyali 3, Kisauni 2 and Jomvu 1. In Nairobi, the patients are in Kibra 9, a mandatory quarantine place has 2, Eastleigh has 2, Aga Khan hospital 1, Dandora, Kamulu, Pangani has1 case each. In Kajiado, the cases are in Kajiado Central 2, and Kajiado North 1, in Kitui the case is in Mwingi town, in Kwale the case is in Mswambweni.
