Kenya has recorded the highest number of Coronavirus cases reported in a day, since the first case was reported, after 307 people tested positive in the last 24 hours. This is after 3,591 samples were tested, and the number of cases is now up to 6,673. Speaking on Wednesday, Health CAS Rashid Aman urged Kenyans to take personal responsibility to tackle the spread of the virus, “If we act without taking into consideration those balanced measures we could very easily erode the the gains that we have made.” 1 more patient has succumbed to the virus, the death toll now at 149, and 50 more people have been discharged, with recoveries now at 2,089.
CAS Aman said Kenya is at a very bad point in terms of the Covid-19 pandemic, “We are seeing the numbers rise, and will probably rise even further, we may be on that incline towards our peak. We have done the most that we can and we continue to do that as government and as a Ministry to be able to contain that spread so that it does not overwhelm our health systems, but it will take more than that and it requires personal responsibility by all Kenyans,” he said.
