599 people have tested positive for the Coronavirus in Kenya in the last 24 hours, with total cases rising to 26,436. Speaking on Sunday during a visit to Kisumu County, Health CS Mutahi Kagwe said 4,420 samples were tested, with a cumulative 353,727 samples tested so far. Of the new cases, 373 are males while 226 are females. The youngest is 1 year old and the oldest is 82 years old.
The recoveries have risen to 12,961 with 1,062 recoveries in the last 24 hours, the highest ever recorded in a day since the first case was reported in Kenya. 2 deaths have been recorded, with fatalities now at 420. Nairobi has the highest number of new Covid-19 cases, with 318. Kiambu County has 70 cases, Nakuru has 39 cases, Machakos has 38 cases, Mombasa has 28 cases, Kajiado has 26 cases, Kericho has 14 cases, Isiolo has 10 cases, Kisii has 9 cases, Kakamega has 6 cases.
Makueni County has 5 cases, Kisumu County has 4 cases, Kitui County has 4 cases, Murang’a has 4 cases, Narok, Nyandarua, Nyeri, and Kilifi Counties have 3 cases each. Meru and Busia Counties have 2 cases each. Siaya, Trans Nzoia, Wajir, Bomet, Garissa, Marsabit, Nandi and Nyamira have 1 case each.
