104 new Covid-19 cases have been confirmed by the Health Ministry, raising Kenya’s total tally to 35,460. The new cases are from a sample size of 2,285 with cumulative cases now up to 481,982. All are Kenyans except three foreigners.
Speaking to the press at Afya House, Health CAS Rashid Aman said the youngest is 1-year old and the oldest is 75-years old. 74 patients have recovered from the disease, with the total recoveries rising to 21,557. He said 41 were discharged from the home based programme while 33 from health facilities. 8 deaths were recorded in the last 24 hours, with fatalities going past the 600 mark to 607.
The new cases were distributed in the Counties as follows;Nairobi has 18 cases, Mombasa 16, Kisumu 13, Embu 11, Laikipia 11, Murang’a 6, Narok 4, Kericho 4, Kiambu 3, Nakuru 3, Meru 3, Machakos 3, Taita Taveta 2, Uasin Gishu 2, Bomet, Kajiado, Kwale, Vihiga and Lamu have 1 case each.
