Kenya’s Covid-19 cases have reached 36,576 after 183 new cases were confirmed on Thursday. This was from 4,188 tested samples. Speaking during the Covid-19 briefing at Afya house, Health CAS Dr. Mercy Mwangangi said the youngest is a 7-month-old child and the oldest is 80-years-old.
82 patients have recovered from the disease, bringing the total number of recoveries in the country so far to 23,611. 33 recovered under the home based care program and 49 from different health facilities. The fatalities rose to 642 after another 5 patients succumbed to the virus.
In the Counties, Nairobi recorded the most new cases, with 54 in the last 24 hours. Kisumu has 26, Mombasa 20, Trans Nzoia 16, Kericho 11, Nakuru 10, Kisii 7, Machakos 6, Meru and Turkana 5, Lamu, Nyeri, Siaya and Kiambu 3 cases each, Kajiado, Busia, Homa Bay, Kilifi and Samburu 2 cases each, Kakamega and Embu 1 case each.
