The number of Coronavirus cases in Kenya has hit 2,767 after 167 people tested positive for the virus in 24 hours. That presents the highest number of positive cases reported in a day. Health CS Mutahi Kagwe has however said that Kenya is yet to hit its peak in terms of cases, “There is a time we are going to be reporting over 200 cases a day,” he said, adding that hopefully Kenyans would’ve built a resistance towards it and the new cases won’t be critical or require hospitalization.
He said the critical cases in Kenya aren’t many as compared to other nations, and that the government has mainly been containing the spread of the virus in urban areas like Mombasa and Nairobi. He said the situation shouldn’t be critical in other Counties and upcountry region. The CS also warned pubs that are still operational, saying their licenses will be revoked.
