CS Magoha inspects KCSE progress at Chavakali, lauds security sector

Education Cabinet Secretary Prof. George Magoha has affirmed that there are few private schools that have engaged in exam irregularities.

Speaking at Chavakali High School in Vihiga County during his visit to inspect how the exam exercise is being carried in the region Magoha noted that some private schools in Nairobi and some parts of Nyanza region have been involved in exam cheating.

He said the Ministry is keen on eradicating exam irregularities and called on all stakeholders to work closely with the ministry to achieve this.

CS Magoha praised the Security agencies on being alert to avert any elements bent on making sure there is exam cheating in some of the centers across the country.

“I want to thank the security agencies across the country for making sure we have credible results come next year for being on their best during this exam period,” CS Magoha said.

He noted that there are some police officers who have performed better in some centers, saying he is ready to recommend them for promotion.

The CS said Chavakali High School is one of the top performing Schools in the region adding that the institution was well prepared for the exercise.
