Education CS Prof. George Magoha has outlined the government is closely monitoring schools and regions which are vulnerable and most likely to allow exam cheating. On Tuesday. 11 people in Kisii County were nabbed for engaging in exam malpractices. The suspects were impersonating the candidates and speaking to the press, CS Magoha outlined that it was a high level of exam cheating, “It’s an advanced type of impersonation,” he said,m adding that they had their own photographs on the exam papers with them so that people won’t know if the one sitting the exam is the real candidate or not. He added that the owner of the facility, a private school registered as an official exam centre, was also arrested.
On Wednesday, the Education CS, after presiding over the distribution of day three exam papers , said those impersonators included university students.
