Education CS Prof. George Magoha has reiterated that all tertiary learning institutions that will be allowed to re-open must strictly comply with the Covid-19 regulations. Speaking in Nandi during an impromptu visit to Mosoriot Teachers Training College and Koitalel Samoei University College, CS Magoha said that the universities and colleges which are is t yo gradually resume learning from September should duly adhere to the Covid-19 rules or risk closure. Learning in primary and secondary schools was, however, pushed to 2021.
He affirmed that all the decisions made by the stakeholders regarding the re-opening of the learning institutions might change as informed by reports from the Ministry of Health, prevailing circumstances and increased knowledge of the Coronavirus. The institutions are required to put into consideration hand washing with water and soap or sanitizing, wearing of face masks, monitoring body temperatures and physical distancing among others.
