Health Cs has stated that the Government has put in place all the
necessary equipment’s necessary for prevention of Marburg disease that
was reported in Tanzania two weeks ago
The Health Cs explained that all the port health facilities have been
beefed up to make sure they are well-equipped just for readiness if at all
the disaster breaks
Speaking this at Matunda level 4 hospital in kiminini Sub county during her impromptu visit in the county the Health Cabinet Secretary decried the pathetic condition of Matunda level 4
hospital of kiminini sub county Transnzoia county. Human resource management, inefficient equipments and lack of transport mechanisms are key challenges facing the facility that the Cs promised to address.
She criticized Kenya Medical supplies Agency KEMSA over what she claimed in efficient supply of drugs in the county
“On my duty against I have discovered that out of over kshs 200
million that was supplied by Kemsa to the county only less than 30% was delivered making it hard for health officials to operate”, said CS Nakhumicha
She however called upon the county Government under Governor George
Natembeya to work together with her ministry in uplifting the health status of
the county to ensure that citizens of Transnzoia county gets best medical services
