As part of new measures to contain the spread of the Covid-19, President Uhuru Kenyatta has directed observance of a daily curfew starting Friday 27th March. The curfew will be starting from 7pm to 5am, with movements of everyone except medical workers, essential service providers barred.
The President has said social distancing is now the new norm for Kenyans, “It is our new way of life.” He added that the most effective way of limiting the spread of the Coronavirus is through changes in individual behaviour and hygiene.
The management of the Kenya Ferry Services has been placed in the hands of the National Police Service Coast Guard and the National Government Administration Officers.
