President Dr. William Ruto on Tuesday nominated Ms. Dorcas Agik Oduor SC, EBS, OGW for appointment to the position of the Attorney General of the Republic of Kenya. The Senior Counsel Dorcas Oduor has got vast legal experience spanning over thirty years of practice within the public sector.
The A.G nominee was admitted to the bar as an advocate of the high court of Kenya in 1992, having attained her Bachelor of Laws Degree [LL.B] in 1990 and a post graduate diploma from the Kenya school of Law in 1991.
Currently the nominee is serving as the Secretary of Public Prosecutions within the office the Director of Public Prosecutions.
In a press release to the media through the Chief of staff and head of Public Service Felix Koskei, the President also nominated Ms. Beatrice Askul Moe as Cabinet Secretary for East African Community Affairs EAC and Regional Development.
Ms. Moe is a social Scientist and a consultant having previously served as the County Executive committee member in charge of water irrigation, Agriculture and Land Reclamation in Turkana County Government.
The nominee holds a Bachelor of Art degree in Social Sciences [Social Work] from the Catholic University of Eastern Africa[CUEA] and is pursuing a Master’s Degree in Governance and Ethics.
