Deputy President William Ruto has called for sobriety on the critical issue of the County revenue allocation formula, saying a win-win solution should be sought so as to avoid further division. Addressing mourners at Mosombor village in Aldai constituency during the funeral of the late Hellena Cherobon Serem, mother to Aldai MP Cornelius Serem, DP Ruto said a solution that will favour all the Counties should be forged. “It is possible to have a win-win formula as a win-lose one is not an amicable solution,” he affirmed. “I know very well that Nandi will win in the new revenue allocation formula but it is not good if other Counties lose for your sake,” the DP said.
On matters of politics, DP Ruto asked all the political leaders to work together as a team for the prosperity of the nation saying it is not yet time for politicking. He said Kenyans need development, good health care services, good infrastructure and lots of development, saying as a government, they are working on the big four agenda.
