He said the government has set aside Kshs 900 million for the electrification program and more than 60% of the people are set to benefit.

He was speaking during a fund drive at Muanda in Bumula constituency Bungoma County, where he reiterated that the suspects in the fake gold scandal shouldn’t drag President Uhuru Kenyatta. The DP had already come to the defence of the Head of State during a visit to Trans Nzoia. He said the people who are involved in the gold scam are well known. He faulted the opposition for fighting the state when it comes to graft, and they are no caught in the web.

Sirisia MP John Waluke called upon the Director Of Public Prosecution (DPP) Noordin Hajj to take legal action against Raila Odinga for his involvement in the fake gold scam, saying it may lead to fractured economic partnerships between Kenya and other nations.
