The Ethics and Anti-corruption Commission (EACC) has assured Kenyans that the loopholes to corruption in the Country shall be tightened.
Corruption vice that has escalated in the country with various scandals in different sectors has left the economy of Kenya shaking.
Kenya’s ambassador to America Robert Godec said that EACC shall partner with other anti-graft bodies to provide technical support in fight against corruption.
“Corruption allegations must be investigated and those found responsible must be prosecuted and appropriately punished,” remarked Godec.
He said that EACC is committed to taking tough action on activities that weaken the rule of law in Kenya and that the commission is prepared to take further actions to support the authorities.
International discussions have as well urged the Kenyan government to empower the Commission with tools and resources needed to counter corruption in the most effective, credible and sustained manner.
“Building integrity and a culture that prevents corruption must be a priority not only for the leaders of Kenya but also the responsibility of every Kenyan,” added Godec.
The Commission further reinstated that it will not be intimidated by anyone against carrying out anti-graft tasks as required to save the nation from the escalating corruption scandals.
