Education CS Prof. George Magoha has assured stakeholders in the education sector of equitable distribution of resources and value for money. Speaking in his first press address as CS at the KICD, in the company of other government officials including Interior CS Dr. Fred Matiang’i and ICT CS Joe Mucheru, Education CS, Magoha said under his guidance, the Education Ministry will ensure every child gets what is due to him or her, “There is no such thing as a private Kenyan child or a public one, and from my perspective every child in this country has exactly equal rights.”
He pointed out that he is in office to address government policy and he won’t be drawn aside by political gimmicks, “Let politicians not waste their time coming to me…I don’t think I have time to engage in active partisan politics,” he said. He also urged anyone who may have disagreements and complaints in the sector to adopt better ways of thrashing out deals and agreements, saying the government is ready and available to take them and discuss them like literate people.
