Mumbo FM fans turned up in large numbers to officially launch eight fan groups in Bumula constituency, Bungoma County. The eight Salaams Clubs add to more than fifty salaams groups in Bumula.
Speaking during the launch, the regional chairperson Fred Wafula assured the members of goodies, adding that the main purpose of bringing fans together is to empower them financially. He said officials of the groups are working hard with financial institutions to avail loan and lending programs.
The members of the Salaams Clubs expressed how the groups are beneficial, and stated that West Media has been present to support them. Through a weekly table banking program, members raise at least Ksh 3,500, which can be used to fund projects such as tents and chairs for hire and poultry farming among others.
