The ACK Bungoma Diocese Bishop George Mechumo has appealed to Kenyans to maintain peace and tranquility before, during and after the August 9th 2022 General Elections.
Bishop Mechumo has called on political leaders who are contesting for different positions in the 2022 General Elections to embrace and promote peace during the campaigns urging Kenyans to remain patient and calm during 2022 election period.
The ACK Cleric who doubles up as the NCCK Bungoma County Chair appealed to Kenyans to shun politicians who seem to be promoting hatred and disunity among them.
In addition, Bishop Mechumo appealed to voters not to accept bribes from politicians seeking for positions urging them to scrutinize and elect leaders based on their records, competence, integrity.
The Bungoma ACK Bishop who was speaking during a live interview on West FM Radio Sunday night reiterated the need for Kenyans to put the interests of the nation first by ensuring they preach peace and unity to enable the country carry out a peaceful process of elections come 9th August 2022.
