Equity bank together with other partners have handed over a partnership contribution totalling to Kshs 85 million meant to boost the fight against the Coronavirus, with healthccare workers set to benefit from the initiative.
Equity bank CEO James Mwangi says that the fund will go a long way to help health workers and also create employment opportunities. Speaking during the handing over the cheque, Mwangi lauded the Ministry of Health and other partners who have worked hand in hand with Equity bank in the fight against the Coronavirus. The CEO had indicated that through partnerships and funds, Kenya will soon start selling its products to other nations. He said at the moment there are several companies licenced to produce necessary health equipment, a move that will see more employment opportunities created in the country.
