Eshikulu Boys Secondary School topped Likuyani Sub County in the 2021 Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) examination registering the highest number of university qualifiers.
The school posted a positive deviation of 1.2527 after managing a mean of 7.5274 compared to the 6.2747 registered the previous year.
According to the school principal Mr. James Omayio, a total of 115 out of 146 candidates who sat for the examination in the school achieved the minimum university qualifying grade of C+ (plus) and above which accounts for 79.4 percent of the total candidature.
The school managed 9B+, 28 B, 34B-, 44 C+, 22C and 9C-
The Principal promised parents that with help from them the school will keep posting good grades in the subsequent exams.
“We’re happy with the grades, considering that our mean score has improved this year as compared to previous years and this is the best ever results to be posted by this school since its inception,” said the school deputy principal Mr. Emmanuel Kariuki.
Parents led by Mike Omore could not hide their joy as they thanked the school for the sterling performance.
They however appealed to the local leaders and the government to improve the school infrastructure and create a conducive learning environment for both teachers and learners.
